: There is just so little info on Seamasters in general...
: I feel Omega should publish a master catalog of all the watches
: made...it's just so hard to tell fake from real these days
All Seamasters do not have the wave pattern today or at any time in the past. The wave pattern was first used in 1993 on a portion of the Seamaster collection.
I disagree with your comments regarding Seamasters and information on Omegas.
For Seamasters, please consult two sections of this very website accessible from the header above: Zowie [http://www.chronocentric.com/ ]and ChronoMaddox [http://www.chronomaddox.com/ ], both of which have quite a bit of information regarding Seamasters and links to websites with even more.
Omega provides an extensive database of their vintage watches, unparalleled by any watch company at http://www.omegawatches.com/customer-service/vintage-watches which currently leads you to http://62.73.172.167/cu_vintage/main.php As Omega has been in business for more than 150 years and has had literally thousands of watch models, it is not all encompassing.
Current models may not be yet in the vintage database, but are on the Omega website. Models just taken off the market are still accessible if you search by model number, but may not show on list of available models. They will not be moved to the vintage database for a couple of weeks.
