Originally I had problems exactly with the hands - if they fit together and checked several vintage omega watches from this period on the internet.
In the meantime I also checked the Omega vintage database and found the following picture (attached to this post) where the ratios between the hands look quite similar.
On the other hand checking this database it is also available that cal 284 is started to be built in to Seamasters only in 1958. The ref number of the movement (15563859) shows that it is from 1956. Is it possible that it was built in only 2 years later into a case (ref 2892) that was used for cal283/284 between 1954-1958 for non-Seamaters?
