Decent book for an overview....

I like the book for its many pictures and lots of info, although you should take note that there is a slight typo about the "Seamaster" as being the first watch on the moon. That was the only typo I found. Although I did not read the whole thing there..(224pp.) Louis

: Omega Designs by Anton Kreuzer - Schiffer Publications
: (224pp.) It chronicles the entire history of the company
: and their watch designs. Included are pictures and diagrams
: of many of their movements, along with specs. He also
: includes many original ads and prices.

: I thought this might help settle the SN disparity and other
: questions about my 30T2Rg, but it only clouds the issue
: further. Kreuzer states that the 30mm was introduced in
: 1938 and shock protection was added in 1943. His serial
: number list shows my watch (10646045) as having been made
: ca. 1945/1946, but mine does NOT have shock protection. In
: another spot in his book he lists the introduction of the
: 30mm as 1939.

: I will try to find an email address for the author so I can
: find out whether it's his 30mm or serial number dates that
: are incorrect.
