Re: Water resistance of Speedmaster Professional>>

Sure!

The Speedmaster Pro and all other modern Omega watches come fro the factory with at least 30 meter water resistance. So really any of these watches are suitable for swimming.

With the Speedmaster though, you MUST NOT attempt to operate the chronograph pushbuttons under water! Only the Seamaster Pro is capable of safely operating the chronograph buttons uunder water.

But the general conservative advice is to not unnecessarily risk any expensive watch in water. Especially since water resistance is not permanent. Unless you have your watch checked every year or so, the watch's water resistance *might* fail. And then you have a potentially expensive repair that could have been avoided.

This is less of a concern with diving watches, because their water resistance is so many more times that needed for light water activities.
