replacing bezel on seamaster pro

Hello everybody,

I recently posted this message on the timezone/omega discussion forum and I am posting it here as well in the hopes that I would receive a few more responses. I am the proud owner of a seamaster pro with a SS bezel. In recent weeks, I have been looking at changing the colour of the bezel from my current polished SS to the sportier JB blue aluminum bezel. I have contacted a few shops in my area and have received confilicting answers from all of them. Some shops say that the bezel can not be replaced or changed, others say that the entire bezel mechanism has to be changed and that would cost approximately $250 canadian dollars. Furthermore other shops say that the entire bezel does not need to be changed, but all I need to change is a simple bezel insert which will run me about $60 canadian dollars. I find this last option the most tempting to believe because I wouldn't think that the entire bezel needs to be replaced if it is already functioning perfectly. Any help you have on this matter is greatly appreciated.

Keep up the great work and I sincerely hope to be of help in the future ( I'm still a rookie at this!)

Thank you

das
