Those 18k black faced Connies are definitely in the running for best watch in the history of horology. I've seen them go for $1,200 or more.

I just bought a new Connie '95 SS/18K auto with full bar bracelet for just a tad over $1,700. I thought long and hard about getting the Connie you're describing (I think I know exactly which one you mean) instead.

My bottom line is that these babies don't come cheap, but, in my opinion, are probably worth the asking price - assuming, of course, that they're in near mint or mint condition.
