I got my GMT back this morning,
Enclosed was a letter from head of servicing, informing me that they fully stripped and cleaned the movement, resealed to factory spec.
I must say the feel of crown is a lot different, there is hardly any play in setting the time now, and second hand seems a lot smoother.
So time will tell if the hour hand problem has been solved and I will test its accuracy over the weekend.
