OK. I have a copy of a 1969 German dealers catalogue, which contains LOADS of great Info.
here's a scan..
So what does it say ?
Firstly this is a 1969 Catalogue, so the bracelet was available then. I have no idea how long before or after that it was available.
It says the bracelet is 19 mm wide at the end.
The various End pieces are all 19mm wide too.
the end pieces available are numbered 144, 526, 527 & 540.
You can see the various model numbers in the lists.
It then says "Gleiches Modell wie".... which means "Same model as..... "
so the models listed for the 1116 are ...shown here
so the models listed for the 1117 are ...shown here
so the models listed for the 1118 are ...shown here
I'm afraid my german isn't good enough to translate the abbreviations at the bottom of the print. but the words are
Faltschloß -> Buckle
Anstoß, lose -> Endpieces , seperate
Verlängerungsglied -> Extension links
Federsteg -> spring bars.
So the big queston now is which are the various watches that are listed....
Well, I recognise most models from the 1116 - 1118 lists, but non of those listed directly under the 1098 list.
I hope this helps
Steve
P.S. One last point, the "endpieces" on your pic of the 1098 don't look like original Omega items(IMHO)
