Who buys those horrible fake watches??

These guys, in Pisa, Italy, who then try to sell them to the tourists for about 40 Euros. The walk around saying "Rolex, Rolex", and there is literally one of these guys for every 10 feet of sidewalk around the Leaning Tower. I asked to see some Omegas, and one guy handed me something that was so light it might have been made out of aluminum, and it didn't look like ANY Omega I had ever seen, and the closest thing it looked like was a 60's vintage Seamaster with a rather plain face. (Only SteveW62 would know for sure, but it was REALLY plain looking.) I was also offered an equally cheap and totally unrecognizable IWC, so the fakes here are REALLY bad. I asked another hawker to see his Omegas, and he pulled out something equally unrecognizable, and was trying like hell to tell me how good it looked and why wouldn't I want it, so I rolled up my leather jacket sleeve and showed him a REAL Omega, and then asked him why I needed a cheap copy when I had the real thing on me. He kept up the same line, and I kept repeating the same question, and he finally walked away when he realized that he couldn't make up a reason. Pisa is apparently The Wall Drug of Italy, and apart from seeing the tower, it's 100% pure tourist crap, with more fake watches than Keith, Chuck, and Steve put together have REAL ones.
