This just in! 1952 Omega "grande luxe".

I hemmed and hawed about this watch from about September on. I didn't pull the trigger and then I posted a WTB ad and got an email from the very nice gentleman saying he hadn't sold this one! A few phone calls later and voila!

It was produced in 1952. 14k rose gold case measures 31 x 39mm with the lugs. A nice size for a watch that's almost 60 years old. Bumper cal 342 is as smooth as butter.

It's only the second one I've seen in rose gold and according to Omega it's quite rare. The name "grande luxe" was used in the omega paperwork and I queried the omega museum about it. Indeed they replied, the name "grande luxe" was also used for this model.
