Hi all --
I'm selling my 1970s Kelek "Big Eye" chronograph. This is a super cool watch. It measures 40mm not including the crown (43mm including it). The case is in gorgeous, seemingly unpolished, original condition with only minor surface marks from wear over the past 50 years. I bought this watch almost exactly a year ago here on this forum and simply don't wear it enough to warrant keeping around.
The dial is a deep blue when not in direct sunlight, and is virtually glowing when in the sun. Absolutely stunning. All hands and parts are original to the watch. The chronograph hands have faded to a beautiful light orange-yellow hue.
The workhorse Valjoux 7733 movement was serviced in 2017 and has many years left before it needs another. Timekeeping is spot on. Chronograph starts/stops/resets perfectly.
Price is $1200, OBO.
Free shipping in the United States via USPS Priority Mail. International shipping to be split 50/50 between buyer and seller. Payment via Paypal Family/Friends or +3% standard purchase. Plenty of references available upon request.
And a movement photo taken when the watch was sold to me about a year ago:
