FS: Vintage Chronosport Sea Quartz 30 Dive Magnum PI Watch

Selling this iconic and highly collectible vintage Chronosport Sea Quartz dive watch. An estate acquisition.

This is the same watch that Tom Selleck wore on Magnum P.I., although it appears to be a slightly different variant (dial says "Sea Quartz" instead of "Quartz").

Circa 1980

This Chronosport dive watch was the first, if not among the first, quartz dive watches on the market, according to discussions on watch boards.

As of writing this listing, this model was not on eBay.

I installed a new battery, and it is running. It also passed the water pressure test in my watchmaker's shop. However, as with any vintage watch, I advise against taking this watch into the water or submerging it.

It is a substantial all stainless steel watch at ~42mm, and the stainless steel bracelet can fit up to a medium-large wrist.

Lume on markers on dial and bezel still glows.

Service history marked on inside caseback. I recommend it be cleaned and serviced for optimal performance, as it appears to have last been serviced in 2010.

An almost identical variant sold for $3350 on eBay in October 2021, although it had been serviced.
