Re: FS: Omega Speedmaster Edwhite 105.00365

: Juan Carlos Zambrano juan2003ws@gmail.com >

: I'll just repeat my response from your previous listing:

: Serious question, why not sell it back to the chap you bought
: it from for the $5k USD that you advertised it at. He has
: offered.

: I shall also explain why I called you out on your original post

: 1) You are attempting to sell on CT, it's your 1st post
: 2) You are selling at way below market value ($5k when you paid $9k
: for it)
: 3) Your image hoster is one of those generally used by scammers
: 4) You used words and pictures taken from the original sales advert
: on RF. If there's nothing to hide, why not copy the whole lot
: (which is a much better description that you'd used)?
: 5) Your tagged picture looks like a really bad photoshop attempt
: 6) You've blurred out more of the serial number than was already
: covered by the image in the original RF advert
: 7) Most of your pictures are extremely out of focus (anyone serious
: about buying this would at least need some clear pictures)

: Additionally
: 1) The quality of your english varies enormously between your
: responses
: 2) You seem to have some knowledge of how I'd normally deal with
: scammers
: 3) You became hostile pretty quickly, instead of providing a
: rational explanation/proof of ownership
: 4) You appear have no other traceable forum exposure with your
: username and email address. Buying this type of watch usually
: involves some type of visibility or public interaction
: 6) Buying a 9k watch and selling for 5k just doesn't stack up.
: Especially when attempting to sell through this platform

: It just doesn't smell right, but as you keep saying, it's your
: watch and you can do with it what you like.

: It's also unusual that you keep pulling your previous ads and you
: now changed your email address/username.

: I'm not questioning that you are in possession of this watch, I'm
: simply advising you why this looks suspicious.

Hi,

In response to:-
Up for sell. my vintage Speedmaster Edwhite original. purchased

I wish to advise you to take heed of the old saying "Caveat Emptor"
I had an unpleasant e-mail exchange with the person who is attempting to sell this watch. I was interested in buying and, as usual, asked for some additional information, as follows.
"I must see that everything is working correctly, so please also send video of:
Time being set
Watch being wound
Tachometer being started and stopped
Reset pusher being used."

However, the seller was not prepared to provide said information and wrote: "I'll pass, thanks" Followed by "All original not need demonstrate nothing I purchased in USA with dealer and sell me working if not trust bye purchased on chrono24 that are perfect watch for 10k"

I was very concerned about this reponse, so I ended the purchasing process.

You may have better fortune than me, but you may also be surprised by the response you receive, or the status of the watch, if and when you get it. As I said "Caveat Emptor."
