Oversized Fakes -- Prices Coming Down *LINK*

Below is a link to the recently ended auction for one of the oversized fakes -- this one made in Prague. Bidding reached $1925 and the reserve was not met.

It appears as though prices for these pieces are coming down. Several sold in the $3000 range before word got out that they are fakes. I understand that the people producing these charge $1600 to $1800, so the $1925 price, if it is even real, represents a very small profit margin. If the profit margin is so thin or even non-existent, perhaps the dealers will stop bringing this into the US.

We see, however, that this will not be the end of the fakes. It would at least be the end of these high-dollar fakes.
