Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. In addition, we request that sellers linking to online auctions or listings offer some benefit or accomodation to ChronoTrader readers (for example, some discount or an undertaking to end an auction early, to keep a watch "in the family"). Photos must be of the actual item for sale in its present condition. No counterfeit or replica products. No post for the same item may be repeated within 7 days, except to lower the asking price. Commercial dealers are limited to three unique posts per day. [More...]
EvanShift - Your thoughts are well received. If I may, allow me to add a few details.
First, I have waited 6 weeks from the time that I received an empty box. I have contacted Eric Davril many times. I had a friend of mine who is French try to contact him, writing in French three times. I have asked for telephone number, etc. His only response has been that he sent the package.
I now post this discussion out of frustration and to protect others. I did not post this initially as I wanted to try to resolve it. Hence, this discussion is not hastily posted, but only after many weeks of attempted resolution.
Second, In his advertisement on this chat board, he states that the price of the watch is Euro 1000, and that he will delivery anywhere in the world. That is, the 1000 Euro included shipping. I assumed that he would take adequate measures. Here is the quotation of his message to me, which owing to the language difficulty, I interpreted to mean that he was handling international shipping.
"Hello,
The stopwatch is always available. The selling price is well 1000 euros (international transport offered) The stopwatch is in perfect operating condition... it is new it come from a stock of 1960!
Payment by international credit transfer (iban - bic)
Thanks
Fanny"
In summary - I am not splashing his name hastily, but after many attempts and with much thought about the consequences.
