: I went to look at a 2531.80 that was advertised
: for $1050 and only one year old---how could
: I pass it up? Having owned that model watch
: for a number of years, the watch looked very
: real except it had no red dot on the back
: (there WAS a bluish line that looked like a
: magic marker), the serial number looked more
: laser cut than engraved (and the letters
: were not th same size), and the SN did not
: match the included pictograph. The bracelet
: seemed ok, though the brush marks on the end
: links seemed kinda crude and the
: "825" really mushed the metal
: where they stamped it. In addition, the red
: box said "Made in Thailand" on the
: bottom and many chunks of the covering were
: ripped out---it was stuck all over the
: lining of the outer white box. The usual
: black & white paperwork was there, yet
: it all could be faked. There were no
: "credit cards". I know I could
: have got it for even less $$, but I did not
: feel all warm and fuzzy about this.
: Comments??
There should be laws against this sort of thing... :)
