The SMP Chronograph takes a slightly different bracelet than the regular SMP does -- the 1504 instead of the 1503. OMEGA actually has over time made several minor revisions and versions of the SMP bracelet, not all of which have the same size lettering.
Even the bracelet off the 2531.80 Bond had two variations. If I remember correctly, the earlier bracelet had slightly smaller lettering, the later had a bit larger lettering.
So that difference alone would not give me any cause to doubt that watch's authenticity.
