A forum for identifying and avoiding wholly or partially non-authentic wristwatches --
including counterfeit, replica, Frankenwatches and other fake or bastardized pieces.
Our objective here is to DISCOURAGE the sales and purchase of counterfeit
wristwatch and jewelry products. It is also for helping people identify
watches that are mostly authentic, but have been: altered for personal customization,
repaired with inappropriate parts or modified to be passed off as more valuable pieces.
Including a photo of the piece you are talking about ALWAYS helps! You can learn how to post a photo here: How To Include Photos In Your Postings. 'For sale' postings, commercial solicitation and ads are not allowed. Links to Internet auctions are acceptable only if their purpose is to question the authenticity of a product or provide new clues for identifying counterfeit products. Links that appear to be 'shills' promoting the sale of counterfeit products will be deleted. Links to websites of sellers of counterfeit items are not permitted -- we know they are out there and do not need to be encouraging them by sending traffic to their sites. i saw this tag heuer f1 in a mall and i just want to buy it right away. so when i asked for the price, i was amazed that the price is not that expensive. but i asked advise from my friend and he told that we should go to the tag heuer showroom before we buy the watch. so when we went to the tag heuer showroom, i was shocked since the price is higher than the price in the mall. almost 30% of the original price was cut off. so im confused now because why is it that the prices are different? and this watch boutique in this reputable mall is also selling other watches like rolex(other boutiques), gucci, dior, and other swiss made brands. so i dont think that they will sell tampered, counterfeit or damaged luxury watch since their reputation will be affected if they do such thing. and the kind of people that go to that mall are from class A to class C, but mostly A and B, so that means that those people are not just the "average joe" kind of people.
do you think the watch is authentic, not tampered or not damaged? if you were me, would you buy a watch in a reputable mall since the price is cheaper by 30% or would just play safe and buy it in the tag heuer showroom instead.
