: I'm looking at a Speedy Monnphase on Ebay at
: the following link.

: It looks genuine but a confirmation would be
: apprciated.
I am a little cautious with this one on eBay, note the known genuine version, the genuine on has the seconds divided into 1/5 marks, yet the one on eBay has it in 1/3 of a second.
The other difference is that the moonphase disc on the known genuine model has a blue background with gold stars (if I'm not mistaken the same stars as appear on the back of old Constellations), whereas the eBay one seems to have a black background.
Also the sub-dials of the known genuine one are designed with concentric circles all the way to the centre - the eBay version seems to have them only for a short distance and they are less distinct.
Finally, and not visible on the genuine one, the words T-SWISS-T appear on a genuine one, this seems to have the Ts missing.
I would want to see photos of the insides of the eBay one before I would even think of buying it. And a set of papers wouldn't go amiss...
