: Don't pay more than $40 (20) for one. The Eberle site is filled
: with the feeling of buying into history; it makes no mention of
: detail of the movements or much else. It's filled with
: "aspirational" gibberish. I suspect it's some Chinese
: company giving itself a Swiss sounding name - all cheap stuff.
: If you are prone to losing watches or get fed up with them after a
: week or two, Eberle watches could be for you.
It amazes me how individuals primarily AMERICANS, have the audacity to speak so harshly about Chinese manufactured goods. If you are unaware or living under a rock maybe you have not realized that just about every so called Name Brand product is manufactured in China because of the cheap labor corporations benefit from. It's called capitalistic greed! Am I agreeing with the decisions that multinational corporations make with the lobbied approval of our government? NO! However, I would suggest that anyone buying goods just about anywhere in the world today, come to reality and understand that Branding is only a name for so called recognition. Example, McDonald's makes Hamburgers (Beef pattie, bread and you choice of condiments) however, most Americans make hamburgers at home which probably taste better and are of better quality. Would you recommend that since McDonald's brand of Hamburger is most popular and widely known, yours is of lesser quality and not worthy of consumption? Come on people, Let's wake up. The Chinese goods today are of better quality than American goods in all respects because the government has given them all rights to manufacture and sell back to us for consumption (NAFTA). So please, stop bashing Chinese goods if they are of quality just because they come from China. After all, now that our economy has been ruined by the brand name companies that you so admire, the Chinese may be the only ones we can depend on for goods inexpensive enough for us to purchase! If you don't believe my comments do some research on Walmart and see what has been going on since mid 90's.
