Re: Advice needed for Autavia restoration

I am in the US. I ended up dropping the watch off at a registered Breitling service shop. They're supposed to be very good with clocks and chronographs of all kinds. They're going to take a look at the watch and let me know what they think. They did say that they'd be unable to get any mechanical parts, or the face or hands, but they're going to give it a good cleaning, replace the crystal and bracelet and then we'll see where we stand. If it still needs more work they'll send it to LVMH for me.
I'm prepared to spend some money. The watch has sentimental value and a new chronograph would cost a few thousand so spending a few hundred to repair this one is worth it to me.
