I did some checking, to see exactly when the Carrera chronograph get its first bezel, and it seems that this was circa 2005 . . . well before any Hublot impact on watch design, in general, or on the Carreras in particular.

TAG Heuer has to sell watches, and it seems that today's chronograph buyers, as a group, are happiest in the 42 to 44 range. We can also expect to see TAG Heuer fill the gap between this 44 mm case and the 39 mm "glassbox".
