Thanks Steve. I'm not actually opposed to sending the watch to Europe. I had my 1947 Omega fully restored a few years ago by sending it to Omega in Switzerland, and I was extremely satisfied with how the restoration turned out. I guess the question I have is whether there is some good reason to think that TAG Heuer should do the service on this timepiece, or whether it's fine under the circumstances to find a reputable, experienced watch repair service more nearby.
