How about a link or some connection to all the good stuff CMaddox has authored and co authored regarding Heuer Watches. There is a wealth of food for thought there. Actually, Jeff has a copy of the materials based on the stuff that you lent me David, and he has also sent me a copy of a similar amount of material that I plan on sending you a copy of in a couple of days. I'll let you know when it ships.
While I would be happy to host them myself, the last time I took a look at my personal web space it weighed in at 143mb... In a 10mb allocation. God how I love my ISP they've never said a word to me about it. But I worry about when they do. If worse comes to worse I'd ask them if I could co-habitate a machine down at their facility and go buy an old tube iMac and set it up down there.
I guess the bottom line here is that we do possess a goodly amount of interesting and relevent materials on the topic at hand that we will be integrating on to one of the sites in the near future. It's just a matter of getting the time to get it shaped up enough to post. Desert is a dish that will hopefully be served here on a frequent basis as we ready stuff, people find out about this place and get involved in the discussion and site...
Anyway, I believe we are all of the opinion that we each want to get this information up and available and it doesn't really matter who hosts it as long as the people who provided it and set it up gets the proper credit.
On a different tangent I have been interested in the different mechanical yachting countdown chronographs Heuer has sold over the years. I have collected info on a number of these and will send it along after I organize it. COOL! We need a Yachting timer "go-to" guy! David, you're it!
I know of only two mechanical yachting chronographs being made currently by Omega and Atlantic. Um... What about the TAG-Heuer Specialist Sea-Racer...
I realize it's a stretch... But... =)
Congrats on the forum. Thank you for all your efforts which will aid us and hence everyone interested in these timepieces. I'll probably establish a "Dramatis Personae" page on my site so people will know the tales of people who've stepped up to the plate and delivered.
More as events warrant...
