so what are they really worth?

I see a dealer site that has had one listed at $3000, now in the second year of the listing. I am assuming that this is insanity / hoping for an impulse purchase / hoping for foreign currency confusion from a non-US buyer.

my bid was well above the $830 winning price, but I had no real sense of the "fair market value". what is your estimate?
