Jeff asked me to tell you guys my story:

I have recently moved to South America and was doing a little traveling around when I was in a small town in southern Brazil. I had finished eating breakfast and decided to take a walk around town. After a little while I came across this small jewelry store on the main drag and looked in their window and saw several watches, while I was looking at some of these watches I noticed in the back corner was the Heuer Monaco. At first I though it must be a re-issue but when I looked closer at it I realized it wasn't. I nearly fainted. I went into the store and found the owner and asked him about the watch. He told me he sold Heuer watches in the early seventies and this one had never sold becauswe it was "too big". Well of course after hearing the story I bought it. It came with the original box but he couldn't find the paperwork for it unfortunatly. The watch is in mint condition exept for some really tiny scratches from "case wear" ie. putting the watch into and out of the show case for 30+ years. I am going to try to post a pic of the watch. If it does not show up email me and I will try to send a pic.
