The way Chuck uses it will work best.
There are meny that do not have jewels in some of the chrono parts. It is best to leave it stopped. Use it a few times when you wind it or wear it to get the oils where you want them. But I would never leave on for any extended time.
My 2 cent Never leave it run all the time never... and theres no need to. its for timeing events only.
