Using your guidelines and adding the column wheel movement requirement would make my list look something like;
1) Heuer Carrera Val.72
2) Omega Speedmaster or Seamaster Cal.321
3) Breitling Navitimer Venus 178
4) Zenith El Primero (just to have an auto)
5) and maybe something from left field like this vintage Movado.
