Well Jeff, at least you mentioned my name in your posting! I thought I'd fallen from "the boys'" graces! Yes, I did post a message some weeks ago and sadly received no responses.
I like the "strength and beauty" idea. It's about time advertisers understand that women can do "bad ass" beautifully. And that thoughtful men are not intimidated by the idea, indeed, many love it--hence the whole, "she's the perfect guys girl," in response to enjoying girls who love sports, cars, watches and a good beer. Oh, yeah, and sex!
Oh, and we can't take the misappropriation and misapplication of the definition of feminism seriously! The "F" word has left a bad taste in most people's mouth simply because, as with most important ideals in society--ideals that try to make this planet a better place for all, whenever removing the gap of inequality that exists means taking away the opening someone else enjoys, the selfish tendency is to demonize the entire notion--to "throw the baby with the bathwater...so to speak." (Socialism, racism, inequality of women, corporate greed, etc.)
Ok, I'm off my soap box.
Guys, I think "onthedash" is wonderful--I like the community you share with each other (and have extended to me). And by the way, I still hold my two Heuer beauties (Carerra & Abercrombie) as the ultimate in "strengh and beauty" when it comes to watches. And when it comes to what I do for a living....check out the optional URL I've included for another interpretation of strength and beauty.
Lastly (someone shut this girl up!), if anyone knows of a bitchin', bad ass, gorgeous, chunky, gold chrono watch for sale, (to be worn with heels and jeans!), let this big watch loving girl know! (Size does matter). I'm open to other brands if it's absolutely amazing.
All the best to each of you (...Blowing kisses.....),
Signed,
Your California girl, Patty
