you are right about the Chronomatic connection and a transitional model because of the different position of 'Monaco' on the dial. But...!
The two identifying plates of the movement have wear on their deges and that would make me suspicious when the rest of the movement seems so clean. Unless the movement had been shifted around on the plates as a spare until someone decided to put it together to sell.
Who knows?
