Despite what the lawyers say, knock-offs really don't hurt sales of originals.
Originals have resale value, knock-offs don't - so if you can afford an original you'll buy an original.
The guys who buy knock-offs are the ones who couldn't afford an original in the first place. They're not passing up a Rolex for a fake, they're passing up a Timex for a fake Rolex.
