I see three problems that would adversely affect the price of this one:
- the pushers have been replaced with incorrect pushers [so what was the problem with the original ones? did this watch live a rough life?]
- the running seconds needle has been replaced with incorrect needle [same questions as above]
- the "Fisher" on the dial is not the name of a racing team, but the name of a company that produced scientific instruments [so it sells at a discount, rather than a premium]
So this sale may represent something of a minimum price for the Carrera 12's, while the white-on-black auction may have marked the higher end of the market.
