Spontaneous Scan Day: Stuck on My Wrist

Lately, I have been into the older Heuer chronographs, say between 1945 and 1955. These can be difficult to identify and authenticate, as these were the years before Heuer began naming the models (Carrera, Autavia, Monaco, etc.) and before they began publishing annual catalogs. Here are current favorites, from 1943 (on the left) to a 1953 Abercrombie, made by Heuer (on the right).

I have been rotating these five chronographs for several days now, but one of them (shown below) has gotten "stuck" on my wrist. Based on the "flat" Heuer logo, and the serial number on the movement, this one is a very early Valjoux 72 (circa 1946). It is all original (other than the crystal), I like the "authenticity" / age marks, and it is an excellent runner (after a recent overhaul).

So who else has one that is (or has on occasion been) "stuck to your wrist"?

Have a great weekend!!

Jeff
