I have only bought one watch at Tourneau in NYC at retail(discounted) and it was an Omega my wife bought for our anniversary. All the others-many brands were bought online and through online relationships.

Omega is also a great brand. Get some of each. As your tastes develop, that will guide your buying decisions. I like TAG for their racing history. I pretty much only buy chronographs.
