Re: Let Me Check My Notes / So Who Has Call 11-I to Show Us?

:
: I will need to check some notes, to see what I have on the question
: on when they went from Cal 11 to Cal 11-I and when they went
: from Cal 11-I to Cal 12. I beleive that both these transitions
: occured fairly rapidly, but of course, there may have been
: hundreds of older movements on the shelves and in the bins, even
: when they introduced the new movements.

: I am curious who else has lugs with the Cal 11-I markings
: on the back or maybe the "I" on the
: movement
?

: Jeff

My own Cal 11 Carrera was purchased new in November 1970, and does not show the mentioned lug markings nor the "I" below the balance wheel (it sports an "SK", although not in the same position as the "I"), so should be an early version of this movement. Fortunately, the problems associated with this version are never been present in all these 38 years of continuos use.
