I've noticed that on a "casual glance" it can be difficult to distinguish between the GMT hand and the minute hand.
:
: Over the years, we have seen approximately five of the really early
: Autavia GMTs, with all 24 numbers on the bezel and the Cal 11
: GMT movement. None of them had the blue GMT hand.
: In some of the catalogs where they are showing early versions of a
: particular model, we do see these sorts of curiosities. Maybe
: this was a prototype or a unique early watch; maybe they painted
: it blue on the photo, so that everyone would notice the extra
: hand.
: If you like the look, then give it a go . . . you can always go
: back to the more common look.
