OK, I guess these watches are slightly off topic for this forum, but let me ask another related question then:
Dial painting 101.....
If a watchmaker is going to repaint a dial, how are dials painted? Is it a stencil / spray? How easy is it to recreate tachy marking or similar complex things? (I am assuming relatively easy to redo just the name).
How would the dial have been painted in a typical swiss watch factory in the 1940-1970s?
