: el cinco de mayo, when Mexico defeated the French at the battle
: of Puebla in 1862..not a true Holiday, but a very good excuse to
: imbibe and enjoy Mexican cuisine..
: Recipe is as follows;
: 25% fresh squeezed lime juice
: 25% orange liqueur ( I use a 50/50 mix of Cointreau and Grand
: Marnier)
: 50% Tequila..be sure to use a good 100% agave, otherwise you risk a
: cooperative tequila which will have more sugar, and that will
: lead to the dreaded headache in the morning..I prefer silver, as
: opposed to anejo or reposado..
: Use a wedge of lime to rim the glass, and then put the glass rim
: down into the salt..thus the 'sombrero', which holds the salt..
: Enjoy!!
: Toast as follows: arriba, abajo, al centro y adentro!
