Tim,
Tool #33 is for separating the case top from the case bottom...
If you have the dial out of the case, you should be able to see the movement..
If you have the case top/crystal off, you will need to pull off the crown, then very very carefully go with a small flat head screwdriver between the underside edge of the dial and the case bottom, and gently pry up on the crown side from 12 to 6, will do not much good on the pusher side, other than freeing the dial from the case bottom if it is 'gooped' on..
