Ferrari Location = Modena / Maranello

I believe that the Ferrari factory began in Modena and then moved down the road to Maranello, where it remains today. Modena was / is also home to the Maserati factory, the de Tomaso factory and several other auto-related companies.

So maybe we have just figured it out -- if Modena is the Italian equivalent of Detroit, it makes sense that Heuer decided to name the chrono after a racing city (Daytona, Sebring, Indy), rather than an industrial town ("Detroit" or "Cleveland").

Maybe some of our readers in Italy can help us on this point.
