You're right Jeff: Ferrari, Maserati, De tomaso (and Lamborghini, Zonda and ex Bugatti works) are all located around Modena.
Verona has absolutely nothing to do with Ferrari.
Ciao dall'Emilia, terra di motori!
Lorenzo
: I believe that the Ferrari factory began in
: Modena and then moved down the road to
: Maranello, where it remains today. Modena
: was / is also home to the Maserati factory,
: the de Tomaso factory and several other
: auto-related companies.
: So maybe we have just figured it out -- if
: Modena is the Italian equivalent of Detroit,
: it makes sense that Heuer decided to name
: the chrono after a racing city (Daytona,
: Sebring, Indy), rather than an industrial
: town ("Detroit" or
: "Cleveland").
: Maybe some of our readers in Italy can help us
: on this point.
: Jeff
