Some Have Questioned the "Kentucky" and "Pasadena" Names

but a favorite car that I owned for a few years was a 1971 De Tomaso Pantera, with the famous 351 "Cleveland" engine. So I would have loved to have had the Modena and the "Cleveland" chronographs, for this car!! What a beast this Pantera was, rumbling into my office parking deck, and setting off the alarms of the pretty little Porsches and BMWs.

: Was probably too long to fit "Maranello" on the dial,
: which would be a bit more accurate than "Modena" :)
: I'm always slightly surprised we never saw a "Fiorano"

: And why do Italian place names always sound so achingly cool? Can
: see why they would go for those rather than, say, the Heuer
: Newport Pagnell, the Heuer Browns Lane or maybe the Heuer
: Dearborn!!
