First All-Black Chronograph / And a Question for Readers

Here is an interesting blog posting from Hodinkee re the first all-black chronograph . . . made by Porsche Design, in 1972. So Heuer was on this all-black bandwagon a couple of years later, but not the leader of the pack.

http://www.hodinkee.com/blog/2009/8/28/porsche-design-edition-one-a-tribute-to-the-very-first-black.html

On the subject of "firsts", here's a question for the group: What was the first chronograph to use contrasting registers? I am guessing that it was something other than the Rolex Cosmograph, Breitling Navitimer or the Heuer Autavia, but I am not sure which chronograph it would be? Maybe a one-off chronograph from a small or little-known brand? Or maybe it was Rolex or Breitling? Any answers (or guesses), from our readers?
