In studying the photos of many many Monacos I have found out that there are quite a few where the crystal is mounted wrongly.The original way is to have the curved side there where the lugs are, following the curved shape of the casing .There are many however - also among us collectors- where the curved side of the crystal is mounted on the same side as the crown and pushers. Also on some of the photos of this great web site I have noticed some that are like that .So check your watch if you want your Monaco to be 100% like original.

From a technical point of view there is no problem, should your crystal be mounted in the wrong way. So think it over before you go to the watchmaker or do it yourself, because every time you open up your Monaco is one too much. Some also think a Monaco with the curved side along the side where the crown is looks better. So think it over.
