Well if Heuer said fake he would know. This is a very High end 7736 with all the finish work.. he would know of thay spent that kind of $$ on a movement, Or would he. I have to ask who would decorate a movement for a fake this well? I have never seen a finished 77 VJ like this ever in real life in my lab.=
========================================: Actually, we have discussed these Mappe Mondo chronographs on at
: least two occasions, and probably more often than that, but no
: definitive resolution of the question of whether these are
: fakes, where they were made, etc. As we all know, it's sometimes
: easy to spot a fake; far more difficult to prove that it's a
: fake. We see a variety of color combinations; several different
: finishes and markings on the movement; they seem to be parts bin
: specials, made with whatever is at hand.

: Since we had these discussions, and as these watches continue to
: surface, I inquired of Jack Heuer (and sent him several photos),
: and he confirmed that he had never seen these chronos.
: Accordingly, he states that they are fakes; not made by Heuer.
