So what do we think of this estimate, in the $10,000 to $12,000 range? If it meets this estimate, this one will be the most expensive vintage Carrera that we have seen. Two registers? In the fairly common 3647 T (Tachymeter) configuration? If a very nice Carrera 3647 T usually sells in the $2,000 to $2,500 range, how much "premium" for the Sunray DX logo on the dial? Who will pay the $8,000 to $10,000 premium for this logo? So tell me, if $8,000 premium for this logo, what "premium" might we see for an "Indy" or "Shelby" logo?
So many questions; so few answers . . . but we gotta start somewhere!!

: Some months ago, I spent some time studying the history of the
: Sunray DX racing team, in order to understand the background of
: the Carreras made with the Sunray DX logo on the dial. Now we
: see that Hodinkee has also become interested in this Carrera,
: scheduled to be sold at a Bonhams auction in a couple of weeks.
: Check out the Carrera; read about Sunray DX; read about a real
: racer's Daytona, currently listed on ebay . . . all by this
: Hodinkee posting --
: This Hodinkee really comes up with some interesting items!!
