Over the years, I have seen several of the Carreras marked "Ed. Heuer", but I can't recall how many in the 18 karat version . . . maybe one or two others, but none since I started tracking the serial numbers. It is interesting that this one has the slotted / notched back, rather than the earlier hex back (which seems to be even more rare).
The construction of the case-back is similar to the construction of the backs on the 2444 pre-Carreras, I believe.
