I have an early dial Siff cal11 in the same case and know of at least one other.
I suspect 1 of 3 options for mine -
Maybe a)it was changed at service, b)left the factory later on with the early dial in a Schmitz case, or more controversially, c)maybe they trialled/used this style case earlier on.

: In this pictures we can see the Chronomatic Siffert published on
: "otd".
: As we can see it has a schmitz case and a step caseback.
: In your opinion, is this watch a "put together" or an
: original?
: It's possible to see a schmitz case with a step caseback?
: It's possible to see a 140000 serial case Schmitz and not Piqueret?
: Thanks a lot
