Hi all,
I was a real watch day for me. First a visit to the Rikketik Used Watch Fair in Holland ( where I met Abel in his constant quest for Heuer). Few Heuers. Saw a 2446 Autavia second genenation case and an 1533B Monaco. Abel also saw one or two manual Monaco with dodgy dials.
Then at home, I looked for a comfy chair near the window ( sun was shining nicely), put my legs up and went enjoying the Bonham catalogue. I think it's one big advert for our hobby and has been set up very tastefully. Can't wait until the 15th!
When looking at the two different 3147 Dato Carreras with black dial and date aperture at 9 and comparing them to my own 3147 I noticed two differences. The same differences were confirmed by comparing them with the photos on the OTD galery.
Two differences; one version has a date window where the internal "window pane" is white, the other version has a black one.
Other difference between the two types. One has the "T" over "swiss' the other doesn't.
Is anyone already aware of this, and, can we judge which type was earlier? I have the one with the black window pane and incl. T.
Other questions for how long have these versions been produced?
Thanks
Ron
