Justin, I agree with Russki, you should be entitled to a replacement item or a full refund as it's not 'fit for purpose'. I would go straight back into the store and kick up a bit of a fuss. I work in the retail industry and would offer a small piece of advice; be firm, but be polite. Nothing gets a salespersons back up quicker than a shouter. If you state your case in a reasonable manner (as I'm sure you would), it should hopefully get you the result you want, if the saleperson/store are doing their job properly.
Good luck

. : Justin,
: Being my usual bombastic self I would walk into the dealer and
: state you have taken advice and it falls under XXX (items you
: quoted) and that you expect immediate action on their part, i
: would also say that you will be lodging a complaint with TAG
: Heuer's corporate headquarters.
: Send an e-mail to TAG putting forth your grievance, then send a
: recorded delivery letter explaining in full all the discussion
: stating you are not impressed by this dealers treatment of you,
: send it to Customer relations you could probably find their
: address on the corporate website also copy the dealer
